The School for Moral Ambition attracts and mobilizes exceptional talent to address the world’s most pressing challenges. We need our brightest minds to make pandemics history, end factory farming, fight the tobacco industry, safeguard our democracies — and these are just a few examples. Please read our founding principles for a better insight into our mission and guiding values.

about the role

Our global community is growing fast — more than 7,000 members from 35+ countries have already joined us, with new people stepping in every day. What unites us is a shared drive: to solve the world’s most pressing problems faster, by helping each person contribute from their unique position of strength.

At the heart of this movement are Moral Ambition Circles — small, committed groups of 6–8 people who come together to find out how they can maximize their impact. Currently, there are already over 1,000 people taking part in the program, with more than 170 participants having taken bold career pledges as a result. Along the way, it has led to countless collaborations, connections, and friendships.

As a Global Community Builder for the School, you will play a critical role in shaping the culture of our movement. You will empower our most courageous and entrepreneurial members to launch and lead Circles in their own communities, multiplying their impact and growing the movement from the inside out.

At this moment, we are working towards a major upgrade of the Circle program’s content and structure, grounded in 58 deep-dive interviews with our members. You will co-create this next chapter alongside our Community Team and play a vital role in making sure every Circle becomes a transformative experience.

Key responsibilities

Core responsibilities

  • Deliver digital training to new Circle Starters (3 hours per session; at least one per month). Sign up here to follow the training and get a sense of what you’ll be doing.
  • Follow-up with Circle Starters after their training
  • Continuously improve the training based on feedback and your own experience
  • Offer in-person training in your city or local language (optional, depending on demand).

Additional responsibilities (choose 1 or 2 projects to contribute to):

  • Circle program update development
  • Setting up intervision sessions for Circle Starters
  • Moderation of the online community for Circle Starters
  • Connecting Circle Starters in your region to strengthen local networks
  • Leading your own Circle and sharing learnings with others
  • Coordinating program translations to other languages

What We’re looking for

  • Experience with the Moral Ambition Circle program
  • Strong alignment with our founding principles
  • 3+ years of experience in training and facilitation
  • Experience working on impact driven projects
  • Background in community building
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of intercultural sensitivity

Ideally, you’re already part of the Moral Ambition community and have started your own Circle. If not, no worries — you will first start a Circle yourself, so you can fully understand the experience from the inside out.

We’re especially eager to welcome Community Builders from outside the Netherlands

What we offer
